DJ ANDRE ROYSTER has a deep passion, simply, for being creative all the time. When the band isn't gigging, the dj's crafting tracks and spinning. Andre is also the lead producer of Detroit's SoundCircle Collective. When the dj's off, there's something going on in his studio, and the producer is making music, i.e. writing lyrics, or arranging background vocals, or laying down a bass line, etc., etc., etc. You know, the stuff that musicians do.. JY-OBADELE is also known as Johnny Jenkins Jr. is a Detroit poet, activist and producer who has hosted and produced poetry readings for over 10 years. Notable venues including the Chase Sunday Cafe in Detroit's Campus Martius, Lavendar Moon Cafe in Ferndale, Redd Apple Gallery, 1515 Broaday Theater and the Meetery Eatery Cafe. Invincible is considered a dangerous lyrical warrior whose verses are steeped in defiance. It is rumored her lab in the microgalaxy known as Detroit, MI, has been the headquarters for historic metamorphosis with conspirators including her crew the (all female hiphop collective) ANOMOLIES, Finale, Suheir Hammad, and Waajeed of bling47/PPP. Splitting her time between youth organizing with Detroit Summer's Live Arts Media Project, the US Palestine Youth Solidarity Network, and constant touring she blurs the line between art and activism. Invincible’s latest evolution, and long awaited solo debut: "Shapeshifters", promises to be even more rebelliously appealing to the masses than her previous work.

Ed Mabrey is the 2007 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion
Has been writing and performing for several years. He is one of the most successful slamming poets to come out of Ohio. He has been a member of and coached several winning Rust Belt Regional Poetry Slam Teams out of Columbus, Ohio. Ed has released two books, "From the Page to the Stage and Back Again" to critcal acclaim and "Revoked:My GhettoPass(ivity)" which was a limited release item. Ed has released two cd's of his own work, and has been on projects with other artists and dj's.

Will Evans & J.W. Baz J.W. BAZ is armed with a style once aptly described as “confessional swagger,” J.W. Baz tackles everything from searing social commentary to gritty introspection with a generous spoonful of intensity and a dash of dry wit. WILL EVANS hit his first open mic in August 2005, he has sin risen as a successful poet in slam local to Columbus, OH and abroad. He has been on both of the Columbus Black Pearl Poetry National Teams ('06 & '07) in addition to being the 2006 Black Pearl Indy Grand Slam Champion,earning him a trip to the Individual World Poetry Slam in Vancouver, BC, where he finished 22nd out of 72 competing poets. One Truth is a member of the 2008 Cleveland Slam Team. This is is third feature in the EchoVerse. One Truth weaves stories of truth and life into his poetry. He has performed in popular poetry venues throughout the midwest. One Truth has performed in several Rust Belt Regional and national slam competitions.

Legacy Leonard "A pen and a prayer is my salvation", Legacy Leonard affirms of her burning need to create and inspire. Ever since her childhood years Legacy has been enthralled with the art of written word. First published at the age of 13 in an anthology entitled Master Mixx, and making her spoken word debut at 15 at the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1995 she has shown a commanding ability to elevate and educate through poetry. Through arts and activism Legacy spreads her messages of self love, consciousness, community, upliftment and change with passion and power..

Tava Simon resides in Detroit, by way of DeRidder, LA. She moved to the Motor City after High School and never left because she felt the pulse of the city. She was a finalist in the 2008 EchoVerse Final Stage, and she represented the PicNap Poetry Slam in the Womyn Of The World Poetry Slam this year in Detroit.

D.E.E.P (Houston) The poet D.E.E.P. is a nationally known Poet and Author recently ranked as the "#2 Best Female Poet in the Nation" at the Women of the World National poetry slam. She has been writing for 8 years and performing for 5. She has shared the stage with such names as John Legend, Reggie Gibson, Slum Village, Def Poet Sunni Paterson, and the legendary Amiri Baraka.
