Johnny Lee Jenkins Jr. | JyObadele

	MULTIMEDIA BIO
	Johnny (JyObadele) is the current Creative Director/Principle of NoirAmeria, a Detroit-based design communication studio disciplined in graphic design, creative writing, corporate identity, consulting and event management. A Louisiana-born, native Detroiter, he is a multimedia producer who explores the creative concept of visual verse through the collective works of poetry, performance, visual art and design. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business with a special focus in advertising. He is currently the Resident Host/Co-Producer of the EchoVerse Poetry & Slam Series, Home of the 2007-8 Detroit Slam Teams. He has committed over ten years to community service nurturing pride trough the development of culture, self-identity and community empowerment as the founding father and current Director of the Black Pride Society - producers of Detroit's annual Hotter Than July; Midwest Coordinator of the International Federation of Black Prides in Washington-DC; Co-producer of the historic Homophobia In Detroit Town Hall series at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History.
